Want to know more about her background and experience?

Born and raised in Toronto, Canada, Audrey Quinn has developed a diverse background in film and television.

Audrey graduated from the University of Guelph with a Bachelor's of Commerce (Honours) in Marketing Management, and a penchant for baked
goods.

For her first job after graduation, Audrey found herself in the dizzying newsroom of CBC Newsworld in Toronto. When she wasn't running the teleprompter or delivering scripts, Audrey was either pitching story ideas or writing short news copy hoping to hear her words read on air. After a brief stint as a picketer, Audrey returned to the CBC newsroom and worked in a variety of roles, ranging from Researcher at the national assignment desk to production assistant with the local news and business shows. As Associate Producer for the CBC News: Morning show, Audrey was responsible for pitching, researching, and producing daily interviews on topics ranging from the latest political inquiry to the debate over a cell phone tower in Dawson City, Yukon.

Her next career development opportunity came to her in the form of Mongrel Media. As materials coordinator at Mongrel, Audrey was introduced into the world of film distribution, and a quiet work environment. She was responsible for organizing and updating a large materials database and coordinating the DVD authoring process for half a dozen DVD projects per month.

When she learned about an internship in Nicaragua, Audrey realized it was the perfect opportunity to experience more of what the world had to offer. As field coordinator intern for MEDA, Audrey provided marketing and publicity support for the development projects in Nicaragua. She coordinated interviews and wrote articles about the clients that were receiving loans from the microfinance project, MiCredito. She also produced and directed a video documenting a development project that supported the sesame seed industry in Nicaragua. And she learned Spanish along the way.

Returning from Nicaragua with a tan and the confidence to tackle Toronto's production environment, Audrey jumped right into life as a freelance Production Assistant. As some may say, if you're a good PA, you don't stay a PA for too long. Which is what happened to Audrey. In under one year, Audrey was credited as Production Coordinator for productions airing on Bravo!, TVO, SRC and CBC.
